CIUDAD DE LA CULTURA
Seat for the Galicia’s Library and Archive and Centro Gaiás Musem, the CINC building -dedicated to new technologies- hosts also the Entreprenurial Center, where over a hundred of innovative projects are launched. Its architecture makes Gaiás one of the contemporary reference sites in Galicia.
FUNDACIÓN EUGENIO GRANELL
The Eugenio Granell Foundation’s rooftop terrace is an exceptional space within the Pazo de Bendaña, an urban palace built on the 18th century that dominates the Praza do Toural landscape. The building is one of the town’s architectural jewels and the Foundation hosts an important art collection.
The building that houses the headquarters of the SGAE Foundation in Compostela started its construction in 2006. Its architecture is inspired by the megalithic constructions, expressing a dialogue between tradition and history from a contemporary language. On the street side, the building shows a long convex façade of printed glass.
IGREXA DA UNIVERSIDADE
Tradition and modernity converge in the Igrexa da Universidade (formerly Igrexa da Compañía), a small baroque chapel of Jesuit origin over four centuries old that WOS orients towards those artistic proposals more committed to the need to generate new formats and ways of expression.
MERCADO DE ABASTOS
Compostela's main farmer's market represents everything that WOS wants to bring together: tradition and architecture, indigenous raw material and alternative visions of culture for a Galician society in constant evolution. The market has been operating for at least three centuries, and is one of the most visited places in the city.
SALÓN TEATRO - CENTRO DRAMÁTICO GALEGO
Salón Teatro was inaugurated in 1920 as a hall for events for a private society's club. After several decades working as a cinema, and then some years closed, nowadays it is property of the Xunta de Galicia and since 1999 it hosts the headquarters of the Centro Dramático Galego.
This scenic space of Italian style is one of the most cherished stages for Compostela's cultural life. Located in the Rúa Nova, where the historical, tourist, cultural and gastronomic routes of the city converge, it hosts all the great cycles and cultural activities of Galicia's capital city.
